Norton Oakes welcomes all junior cricketers (girls and boys) and is pursuing Clubmark accreditation to ensure best practice in our organisation of junior cricket. We have teams in local competitions for Under 9's, 11's, 13's, 15's and 17's.
Practice night for U17's and U15's is Thursday (6 to 8).
Practice night for U13's, U11's, U9's is Friday (6 to 8).
ECB qualified Level 2 coaches run these sessions.
Best starting point is for parents to bring interested youngsters along to these sessions.
Membership costs and fees are the best around and while we want the next Freddie Flintoff we seek to offer fun and opportunity to all abilities.

First Team stay top with win over Treeton
The first team remaining top of divison 1 after an emphatic 89 run victory over struggling Treeton at Oakes Park.
Having lost the toss & been asked to bat the Oakes compiled 193 for 9 in their 50 overs with opener Andy Firth returning to the side with a positive 66 including 10 fours, supported by Dave Revill with 29 and Aamir Ashfarque 27 in what proved to be a hor d'oeuvre for the post tea session.
Good bowling by the returning John Ledger had accounted for both openers before a steady partnership progressed Treeton to 71 for 2 before Aamir signalled a collapse with mercurial performance of leg spin taking 7 of the remaining 8 wickets for just 24 runs as Treeton were all out for 104.
The second team saw their promotion hopes effectively over with a 27 run loss over 2nd placed Barnsley at Shaw Lane. After winning the toss & fielding both sides were happy with the Barnsley score of 155 all out thanks to 5 for 56 from Stuart Trentham.
Setting off in chase of the points required to draw level with Barnsley, the Oakes struggled where right in the game at 95 for 3 before the introduction of Gary Nuttall started a collapse that saw the last 7 wickets falling for just 33 runs. Stephen Cook was top scorer with 57.
A patched up third team lost to Shirebrook on Sunday. After losing several key batsman to the first team, an young experienced outfit struggled to gain momentum in the innings mustering just 101 for 9 in the full allocation of 40 overs, with the away side knockering them off for the loss of 3 wickets with 15 overs to spare.
